Important Announcement Regarding Fluorescent Lamps

Binks Industries has been providing Pinhole Detectors for many different industries since 1962, and we are continually improving our designs and providing upgrades. In early 2018 the fluorescent lamps used in our detectors were discontinued by all major lamp manufacturers. There is no commercially available substitute or replacement for these lamps, and the only option is to replace the old light source with a new LED light source.

Binks has developed an LED Light Source that replaces the obsolete fluorescent lamps, and all new Binks Pinhole Detectors are built using the LED system. The LED Light Source is brighter, more stable, uses less power, and increases the sensitivity of the detector. They also have an extremely long life, 10-12 years minimum (longer if the light source is turned off when the detector is not in use). A drop-in replacement LED Light Source is available for the Model 8411 Pinhole Detector, and we have designs for other Binks Pinhole Detector Models.
